Hiking

Hiking and Walking is a group of individuals who enjoy an active lifestyle, being outdoors and experiencing nature at its best.  Throughout the year, we plan a wide variety of day hikes to accommodate the desires and skill levels of our members.  These hikes can vary considerably in length (4 to 10 miles), elevation gain (100 ft. to 2,800 ft.) as well as location (Cascades, Olympics, Olympic Peninsula, etc.).

We typically plan for two hikes per month occurring on the 1st and 3rd  Wednesday from April through October.  From November through March (except December) we plan only one hike, which is usually on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.  Between our scheduled hikes, members are encouraged to propose “Flash” hikes/walks.  These may be proposed by any member at any time.

Depending upon our destination we meet at either the parking lot south of the Home Goods or the southwest parking lot at Target to carpool to our destination.

We enjoy camaraderie, the outdoors and all the natural beauty the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
