It’s a Guy Thing
Chair: John Bilides, email@example.com
The first men directed group of New Neighbors, we try to find a variety of once monthly activities to combine with a casual meal. Past outings have included the Boeing Flight Museum, the Naval Undersea Museum, a tour of Seven Seas brewery, and watching the AAA Tacoma Rainiers with beer and hot dogs. Sometimes we simply enjoy lunch and conversation together.
This is a great way to make new friendships, enhance existing ones, and of course- just get out of the house and hang with all your buddies. The atmosphere is casual- no rules, just a good time for a few hours.
We’re always exploring new ideas to keep as many guys involved as possible.
Guy’s Breakfast Club
Chair: Dick Kuykendall, firstname.lastname@example.org
This is the place for GUYS in New Neighbors to be every Monday morning at 9am who like a great breakfast and enjoy guy-talk. We have no agenda, no speakers, no program; just lots of laughs and stories to tell and topics to share with other guys. Sorry ladies, we are a guys-only club.
It’s really simple and that’s what’s especially nice about it. Start your week off on a positive note. No reservations are needed. Just pull up a chair…. sometimes adding another table. Our attendance typically ranges from 16 to 24 guys. No matter the number there, you will be welcome!
Men’s Book Club
Leaders: Dale Burson, email@example.com & Steve Landau, firstname.lastname@example.org
A book club with a masculine twist-men only, “man-friendly” books, public meeting spaces. Run by men, for men.
Chair: Christian Wilbert, email@example.com
The Men’s Poker Club was formed in December, 2016. We play a friendly, low-stakes game on the first Wednesday of the month at 1:30pm at the Activity Chair’s home. (At this time, we do not play Texas Hold “Em.)
We would like to have 6 players at each game; we can get by with 5 and even squeeze in 7! New members are encouraged to join!
